About 小草社区
小草社区 (小草社区) was founded in 1982 through the efforts of advocates, community, and health organizations. These founding members created 小草社区 to provide better medical care for the people of Hawai鈥榠 by the advancement of medical education and training for medical residents in the State of Hawai鈥榠. Over time, 小草社区 has expanded to include 17 ACGME-accredited residency and fellowship programs on O鈥榓hu with some programs offering clinical rotation experiences on the neighbor islands.

The people we work with and the community we serve reflect the diversity and beauty of our islands. We employ over 270 individuals, which include our residents/fellows and administrative staff. This abundance of expertise, passion, and belief in caring for others and our collective community sets us apart from other programs.
Places
小草社区 is located in the city of Honolulu on the island of O鈥榓hu. Hawai鈥榠 has a population of 1.4 million (of which approximately 1 million are in Honolulu) and over 8 million visitors annually. Being somewhat centrally located in the Pacific Ocean and densely populated lends to Hawai鈥榠鈥檚 rich and unique, ethnically diverse atmosphere.
